ABOUT THE COURSE
QNUK Paediatric First Aid Training Course is designed to equip you with essential skills to respond confidently to paediatric emergencies. In just 2 days, our comprehensive program, combining e-learning and face-to-face sessions, ensures you are well-prepared to handle critical situations involving infants and children.
COURSE CONTENT
  • The Paediatric First Aid Training Course covers crucial aspects of paediatric emergency response, including:
    • CPR techniques tailored for infants and children
    • Effective management of choking incidents
    • Identifying and responding to common paediatric injuries
    • Recognizing signs of childhood illnesses and appropriate action
    • Utilising paediatric first aid kits efficiently
    • Realistic scenarios for practical, hands-on experience
    Blended Learning Approach:
  • We understand the importance of flexibility in your schedule. Our 2-day program combines the convenience of e-learning with the engagement of face-to-face sessions. Benefit from the flexibility to learn at your own pace online while having the opportunity for in-person practical training to reinforce your skills.
COURSE PRE REQUISITES
  • All delegates must be 16 + years of age.
  • Access to a PC/laptop or table and internet will be required for e-learning
ASSESSMENT & EXAMINATION
This qualification is assessed through the assessment paperwork for each component, each graded pass/fail
Practical observation – the practical assessment is completed throughout the course delivery. Learners must demonstrate practical first aid skills.
Multiple choice theory assessment – for a multiple-choice theory assessment, all candidates are required to answer a series of multiple-choice questions. You must achieve a pass on each element.
This face-to-face training is held over 2 days (6 hours each days, excluding breaks).

This course is designed for those who work with infants and children and have been assigned paediatric first aid responsibilities. In the context of first aid, infants are newborn to 12 months, while children are aged 12 months to the onset of puberty.

EFAW: ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To register for this qualification, learners must:
  • be aged 16
There are no formal prerequisites to attend this course. The minimum age to attend is 16 and you must be reasonably fit and strong due to the physical nature of the training. Basic written and verbal English comprehension is required.
